We established the Human Elevation Lab (“HUELLA”) to help companies and people realize the full potential and be more competitive. HUELLA combines advanced analytics, design, and human capital expertise to develop cutting-edge tools and processes that help organizations select and elevate their talent for maximum performance.
HUELLA mirrors our own journey to elevate and reach our potential - both physically and mentally. We saw how simple shifts in our mental models and leveraging technology to make the "invisible" visible helped us achieve faster and further. Combining this experience with our experience of building and leading teams, designing decision tools to help model and inform choices, and fighting the daily fires across the functions of finance, HR, operations, and strategy of growing companies, we saw the opportunity to support companies shift their financial and mental frameworks and apply better decision tools for their talent acquisition and growth strategies. In turn, helping workforces reach their maximum potential.
Leadership Team
Dhushan Thevarajah
Dhushan Thevarajah is the CEO of the Human Elevation Lab ("HUELLA"), a company focused on applying decision science models and AI technology to build high performing teams. Previously, he was interim-COO of Clarity Recruitment, where he helped build out the executive search function by integrating new processes and technologies designed to improve decision-making on person-organization fit. Dhushan was also Chief Strategy Officer and Chief Operating Officer at BEworks, the world’s first commercial consulting team dedicated to the application of Behavioral Economics to business challenges. At BEworks, Dhushan led internal and client projects on changing employee behavior, including debiasing hiring, coaching through habit formation, and motivating employee performance. Dhushan holds an M.Sc. (Neuroscience) from Queen's University and an MBA from the Rotman School of Management.
Miles Atwell
Miles Atwell is Head of Strategy & Operations at HUELLA. He brings extensive on-the-ground experience and understanding of what it takes to be a leader. He was the Director of Strategy at BEworks, driving leadership transformation and process optimization strategies at the company. Prior to joining BEworks, Miles worked extensively in business operations and venture capital in the United States, where he led operations and advised high-growth companies, including technology firms, food manufacturers, and quick service restaurants. Miles is also a Sergeant First Class, in the US Army Reserve, serving as a Psychological Operations Senior Leader. He is a two time combat veteran, with deployments to Afghanistan and Africa. Miles holds an MBA from Wayne State University.
